VibeCut ("we", "our", or "us") is a mobile video editing application for iOS developed by Gravity Code. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use VibeCut, why we collect it, and how it is handled.

🔒

Short version: Your videos never leave your device. We do not upload, store, or share your video files or personal media on any server. Analytics data we collect is anonymous and used solely to improve the app.

By downloading or using VibeCut you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you disagree with any part, please uninstall the app.

Data We Collect

We collect two categories of information:

Type What How
Analytics events App opens, feature usage, beat detection success/failure, export counts, subscription events Automatically via Firebase Analytics (anonymous device ID only)
Crash reports Stack traces, iOS version, device model, app version at time of crash Automatically via Firebase Crashlytics
Purchase records Subscription status (active/expired), product ID, transaction ID Via Apple StoreKit 2 / RevenueCat — no payment details ever touch our systems
Local project data Video clips, beat maps, effect settings, export configurations Stored only on your device using Isar (local database) — never transmitted

How We Use Your Data

The limited data we collect is used exclusively for:

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers or data brokers, ever.

4

Third-Party Services

VibeCut integrates the following third-party SDKs. Each has its own privacy policy linked below.

Service Purpose Data Shared
Firebase Analytics (Google) Anonymous usage analytics Anonymous device ID, event names, app version
Firebase Crashlytics (Google) Crash reporting Stack traces, device model, iOS version
RevenueCat In-app purchase management Anonymous app user ID, subscription status, product ID
Apple StoreKit 2 Payment processing Handled entirely by Apple — VibeCut never sees payment details

RevenueCat's privacy policy: revenuecat.com/privacy
Apple's privacy policy: apple.com/legal/privacy

⚙️

Firebase Analytics respects Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework. If you decline tracking when prompted, no advertising identifiers (IDFA) are sent. Anonymous analytics still function without IDFA.

Data Storage & Security

On-device data (your projects, videos, beat maps) lives exclusively in the app's sandboxed storage on your iPhone. It is automatically protected by iOS data protection (encrypted at rest when your device is locked).

Analytics & crash data is transmitted over HTTPS to Google's Firebase infrastructure in the United States and processed in accordance with Google's data processing terms.

Retention: Firebase Analytics data is retained for 14 months by default. Crashlytics reports are retained for 90 days. On-device project data persists until you delete the app or individual projects.

We do not operate our own servers or databases. No backend infrastructure stores your personal data or media.

6

Children's Privacy

VibeCut is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us using the details in Section 9 and we will promptly delete the information.

7

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

Because VibeCut does not require account creation and does not store personally identifiable information on our servers, most data deletion happens automatically when you delete the app.

For EU/EEA residents: our legal basis for processing analytics data is our legitimate interest in understanding app usage to improve the product (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

8

Policy Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes we will notify users via an in-app notice on the next app launch.

Your continued use of VibeCut after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
