At PCOSense, we believe your health data is deeply personal and should remain under your control. We've built our app with privacy as a fundamental principle, not an afterthought.

1. Information We Don't Collect

Unlike many apps, PCOSense is designed to function without collecting your personal information:

• No personal identifiers: We don't ask for your name, email, phone number, or any account information
• No health data transmission: Your symptom logs, triggers, period data, and insights never leave your device
• No usage analytics: We don't track how you use the app, which features you access, or how often you open it
• No location data: We don't access or store your location
• No device identifiers: We don't collect unique device IDs or fingerprints

2. Data Stored on Your Device

All your data is stored locally on your device using secure storage mechanisms:

• Symptom check-ins: Daily logs of energy, mood, bloating, fatigue, cravings, and other symptoms
• Trigger entries: Food and lifestyle triggers you log (sugar, dairy, caffeine, etc.)
• Period tracking: Menstrual cycle start and end dates
• Insights and patterns: Computed correlations and observations
• App preferences: Theme, language, notification settings

This data remains entirely on your device and is not accessible to us or any third party.

3. In-App Purchases

PCOSense offers premium features through in-app purchases processed by Apple's App Store:

• Purchase transactions are handled entirely by Apple
• We don't receive or store your payment information
• Apple may collect information as described in their privacy policy
• We only receive a confirmation that a purchase was made to unlock premium features

4. Data Export and Deletion

You have complete control over your data:

• Export: You can export all your data in CSV or JSON format at any time from the app settings
• Backup: Create complete backups of your data for personal storage
• Delete: You can delete all your data from within the app settings. Once deleted, data cannot be recovered
• Uninstall: Removing the app from your device will delete all associated data

5. Third-Party Services

PCOSense minimizes the use of third-party services:

• Apple App Store: Required for app distribution and in-app purchases
• No advertising networks: We don't display ads or use ad tracking
• No analytics services: We don't use Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, or similar services
• No social media SDKs: We don't integrate social media tracking

6. Security

We take the security of your data seriously:

• Data is stored using iOS secure storage mechanisms
• The app uses your device's built-in security features
• No network transmission of health data means no risk of interception
• We recommend using device passcode/Face ID/Touch ID for additional protection

7. Children's Privacy

PCOSense is not intended for use by children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has used this app, the data exists only on that device and can be deleted by removing the app.

2. Medical Disclaimer

• Never disregard professional medical advice or delay in seeking it because of something you have read or observed in this App
• The insights and patterns identified by the App are based on self-reported data and algorithmic analysis, not clinical evaluation
• If you think you may have a medical emergency, call your doctor or emergency services immediately

• Pattern analysis based on your logged data
• Personal insights and observations
• Data visualization and reports
• Optional premium features available through subscription

4. Premium Subscription

PCOSense offers premium features through subscription:

• Subscription Options: 1-month and 1-year subscription plans are available
• Payment: Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
• Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• Management: You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings
• Refunds: Refund requests are handled by Apple according to their refund policy

5. User Responsibilities

As a user of PCOSense, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information when logging symptoms and triggers
• Use the App only for personal, non-commercial purposes
• Not attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or tamper with the App
• Not use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Take responsibility for maintaining the security of your device

All content, features, and functionality of PCOSense, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, and software, are the exclusive property of PCOSense and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

• PCOSense is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any insights or patterns identified
• We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the past 12 months

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Continued use of the App after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.

9. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device. We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the App for violations of these terms.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
