Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 2025
Overview
VideoBlur ("we", "our", or "the app") is developed by Gravity Code. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our mobile application.
The short version: All video and photo processing happens entirely on your device. We do not collect, upload, or store your videos, photos, or personal data on any server.
Information We Do Not Collect
VideoBlur is designed with privacy at its core. We do not collect:
- Your videos or photos
- Your name, email address, or contact information
- Your location data
- Device identifiers for tracking purposes
- Browsing history or usage analytics
- Face data or biometric information
On-Device Processing
All video and photo editing, including face detection and blur processing, happens entirely on your device using Apple's built-in frameworks. Your content never leaves your phone. No data is transmitted to our servers or any third-party service during processing.
Camera and Photo Library Access
VideoBlur requests access to your camera and photo library solely to allow you to:
- Select videos and photos for editing
- Record new videos for editing
- Save edited content back to your photo library
These permissions are required for the app to function. Your media files are accessed only when you explicitly choose them and are processed locally on your device.
Subscriptions and Payments
VideoBlur offers optional in-app subscriptions (weekly and yearly plans) through Apple's App Store. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. We do not have access to your payment information, credit card details, or Apple ID.
Subscription management, including cancellation, is handled through your Apple ID settings. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
Third-Party Services
VideoBlur does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The only third-party service involved is Apple's StoreKit for managing in-app subscriptions, which is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Data Storage
VideoBlur stores minimal data locally on your device:
- App preferences: Your settings such as onboarding completion status and export count.
- Temporary files: During export, temporary video/image files are created in the app's cache directory and cleaned up automatically.
- Subscription status: A local cache of your subscription status to reduce App Store lookups.
None of this data is transmitted off your device.
Children's Privacy
VideoBlur is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. Since the app does not collect personal data from any users, this applies universally.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
