Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 6, 2026

The short version: MixDrop does not collect, store, or share your personal data. Your music, your mixes, and your recordings never leave your device unless you choose to share them.

This policy describes how MixDrop ("the app", "we") handles information when you use the MixDrop iOS application. We designed MixDrop to work entirely on your device, and this policy is short because there is very little to describe.

1. Data we collect

None. MixDrop has no user accounts, no sign-up, no analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs, and no tracking of any kind. We do not collect your name, email address, location, device identifiers, usage statistics, or any other personal information.

2. Your music and audio

All audio processing in MixDrop — importing, BPM and key analysis, mixing, recording, and export — happens locally on your device.

MixDrop works fully offline and does not require an internet connection.

3. Purchases

MixDrop offers an optional subscription (MixDrop Pro) purchased through Apple's App Store using StoreKit. Apple processes the payment and manages the subscription; we never see your payment details, billing address, or Apple ID. Apple's handling of this data is described in Apple's Privacy Policy. The app checks your subscription status locally through StoreKit to unlock Pro features.

4. Permissions the app uses

5. Third-party services

MixDrop embeds no third-party analytics, advertising, or social SDKs. The only third party involved in operating the app is Apple, for App Store distribution and in-app purchases as described above.

6. Children's privacy

MixDrop does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. The app is suitable for a general audience.

7. Data retention and deletion

Because all data lives on your device, you are in full control of it. You can delete individual tracks, recordings, and mixes inside the app, or remove everything at once by deleting the app from your device. We retain nothing, because we hold nothing.

8. Your rights

Privacy laws such as the GDPR (EU) and CCPA (California) give you rights over personal data that companies hold about you. MixDrop holds no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to access, correct, export, sell, or erase. If you believe otherwise, contact us and we will respond promptly.

9. Changes to this policy

If a future version of MixDrop changes how data is handled — for example, by adding an online feature — we will update this policy and change the "Last updated" date above before the change takes effect. Material changes will also be noted in the App Store release notes.
