CompressVideo ("the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our iOS application.
Information We Do Not Collect
CompressVideo is designed with privacy as a core principle. The App:
- Does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.
- Does not upload your videos to any server. All compression is performed entirely on your device.
- Does not require an account or sign-in.
- Does not use tracking pixels, advertising identifiers, or third-party ad networks.
On-Device Processing
All video compression is performed locally on your device using Apple's native frameworks. Your videos never leave your device. No video data, thumbnails, metadata, or file names are transmitted to us or any third party.
Analytics
We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregated usage data such as app opens, screen views, and crash reports. This data does not identify you personally and is used solely to improve the App. Firebase Analytics is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
Purchases
In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to your payment information, Apple ID, or billing details. Purchase management and subscriptions are handled by Apple under their Privacy Policy.
Data Storage
Compression history and app preferences are stored locally on your device using on-device databases. This data is not synced, backed up to our servers, or shared with anyone. Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data.
Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services:
- Firebase Analytics — anonymous usage analytics and crash reporting.
- Apple StoreKit — in-app purchase processing.
No other third-party SDKs that collect personal data are included in the App.
Children's Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. Since the App collects no personal data, it is safe for users of all ages.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
