1. Overview

Storage Cleaner ("the App", "we", "us") is an iPhone app that helps you find and remove duplicate photos, similar shots, large videos, and screenshots to reclaim storage space. We built the App around a simple principle: your photos are yours, and they stay on your device.

This Privacy Policy explains what the App does and does not do with your information. By using Storage Cleaner, you agree to this policy and to the Terms of Use below.

3. How Your Photos & Videos Are Used

With your permission, the App reads the photos and videos stored on your device in order to analyze them. This analysis — detecting duplicates, grouping similar images, identifying screenshots and large videos, and selecting the sharpest "Best Shot" — happens entirely on your device using Apple's PhotoKit and Vision frameworks.

Photo and video content is never sent off your device. Thumbnails generated during analysis are served from the system photo library and are not written to a separate, persistent cache by the App.

4. iCloud Photos & Deletion

Storage Cleaner only analyzes media that is physically present on your iPhone. Files stored solely in iCloud are not downloaded, opened, or analyzed, and the App requests images with network access disabled.

When you delete media, the App uses Apple's standard Photos deletion, which shows a system confirmation. Please note:

• If iCloud Photos is enabled, deleted items are removed from all your devices.
• Deleted items first move to the Recently Deleted album in the Photos app and remain there for up to 30 days before space is fully reclaimed.

5. Data Stored on Your Device

To remember your choices, the App stores a small amount of data locally on your device (in its private storage), including:

• Your review decisions (which items you marked to delete, keep, or review later).
• App settings such as scan sensitivity and onboarding completion.
• A local count of daily deletions used to enforce free-plan limits.

This data never leaves your device and is removed when you delete the App.

6. Purchases & Subscriptions

Storage Cleaner offers an optional Premium subscription (weekly, monthly, or yearly) through Apple's In-App Purchase and StoreKit. Payments, billing, and renewals are handled entirely by Apple under your Apple Account. We do not receive or store your payment details.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings. Purchase validation is performed on-device using Apple's StoreKit.

7. Third-Party Services

The only third party involved in your use of the App is Apple, which provides the App Store, In-App Purchase, iCloud, and the on-device frameworks the App relies on. Apple's handling of your information is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not integrate any advertising, analytics, or tracking services.

8. Children's Privacy

Storage Cleaner is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from them. Because the App collects no personal data at all, it poses no data-collection risk to users of any age.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your use of the Storage Cleaner app. By downloading or using the App, you agree to these terms.

License

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use Storage Cleaner on Apple devices that you own or control, in accordance with the App Store Terms of Service.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for its intended purpose of managing media on your own device. You may not reverse engineer, resell, or misuse the App.

Deletion & Your Responsibility

Storage Cleaner helps you identify and delete media, but you are solely responsible for the items you choose to delete. The App always requires a final review and relies on Apple's Photos system, which moves deleted items to Recently Deleted, giving you a window to recover them. We strongly recommend keeping a backup of important media. We are not liable for any loss of photos or videos resulting from your deletion choices.

Subscriptions

Certain features require a paid Premium subscription billed through your Apple Account. Auto-renewing subscriptions continue until canceled. See the Purchases & Subscriptions section for details.

Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties and shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
