ZenByte ("we", "our", or "us") operates the CatHabit mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.

By using CatHabit, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The following data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to our servers:

• Habit names, progress, and completion history
• Cat companion data (name, mood, energy, level)
• User preferences (notification settings, theme)
• Reward and progression data (XP, room items)
• Weekly completion records

2.2 Analytics Data

We use Firebase Analytics (provided by Google) to collect anonymous usage data to improve the app. This includes:

• App open events and screen views
• Feature usage patterns (which features are used most)
• Crash reports and performance metrics
• Device type and operating system version
• Country/region (not precise location)

This data is anonymized and cannot be used to identify you personally.

2.3 Subscription Information

If you subscribe to CatHabit Premium, payment processing is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store your payment details. We only receive:

• Whether you have an active subscription
• The type of subscription plan (weekly, monthly, or yearly)
• Subscription expiry date

2.4 Information We Do NOT Collect

• Your real name, email address, or phone number
• Your precise location
• Contacts, photos, or other personal files
• Health or fitness data from other apps
• Advertising identifiers for ad targeting

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• App functionality: To provide habit tracking, cat companion features, rewards, and progression
• App improvement: To understand which features are popular and identify bugs
• Subscription management: To verify your premium status and provide premium features
• Notifications: To send habit reminders and streak alerts (only when you grant permission)

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

We share anonymized analytics data with:

• Firebase Analytics (Google): For usage analytics and crash reporting. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• Apple: For subscription processing through App Store. See Apple's Privacy Policy.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your habit data is stored locally on your device using encrypted local storage. We do not maintain backend servers that store your personal data.

Analytics data is processed by Firebase and stored on Google's secure infrastructure in compliance with industry standards.

6. Notifications

CatHabit may send local notifications to remind you about:

• Daily habit reminders
• Streak maintenance alerts
• Cat companion status updates

Notifications require your explicit permission and can be disabled at any time through the app settings or your device's notification settings.

7. Children's Privacy

CatHabit is suitable for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since the app does not require account creation and stores data locally, no personal information is transmitted from any user, regardless of age.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data: All your data is visible within the app
• Delete your data: Uninstall the app to remove all local data, or use the reset option in Settings
• Opt out of analytics: Disable analytics sharing through your device's privacy settings
• Control notifications: Enable or disable notifications at any time

9. Subscriptions & Payments

CatHabit offers auto-renewable subscriptions managed through the Apple App Store:

• Weekly: $1.99 per week
• Monthly: $5.99 per month
• Yearly: $35.99 per year

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID settings. No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
