📄 Overview

BudgetPlan ("the App") is a mobile application designed for personal budget planning and financial health tracking. This privacy policy explains how the App handles and protects your data.

💡 BudgetPlan is a fully offline application. All your data is stored exclusively on your device and is never sent to any server.

📦 Data Collected

The App stores the following data locally on your device in order to provide its services:

  • Profile information (name, age, currency preference)
  • Income sources and amounts
  • Fixed expense categories and budget limits
  • Financial goals and progress
  • Transaction records (income/expense entries)
  • Investment allocations
  • Recurring transaction rules
  • App preferences and onboarding status

None of this data ever leaves your device. It is not transferred to servers, third parties, or cloud services.

💻 Data Storage

Your data is stored on your device using two methods:

  • SQLite Database (Drift): Your profile, budget plans, transactions, goals, categories, and investment data are kept in a local SQLite database.
  • SharedPreferences: Used for small pieces of data such as user ID, onboarding status, and app preferences.

Both storage methods operate entirely on your device. There is no remote server connection.

🚫 Data Not Collected

BudgetPlan does not collect, process, or share the following data:

  • IP address or location information
  • Device identifiers or advertising IDs
  • Usage analytics or behavioral tracking
  • Access to contacts, camera, microphone, or other device data
  • Bank account details or credit card numbers
  • Any data shared with third-party services

💰 In-App Purchases

BudgetPlan may offer in-app purchases for Premium features. All purchase transactions are processed entirely through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

  • Your payment information is handled by Apple or Google; BudgetPlan does not access this data.
  • Purchase status (premium/free) is recorded locally on your device only.
  • Subscription management is handled through the respective platform (App Store / Play Store).

🔐 Data Security

Measures taken to protect your data:

  • All data is stored in your device's local storage and is protected by the operating system.
  • The App does not require internet access (except for purchase transactions).
  • Your data is protected by your device's own security mechanisms (passcode, biometric lock).
  • When the App is deleted, all data is permanently removed.

👤 User Rights

As a BudgetPlan user, you have the following rights:

  • Access: All your data is viewable within the App on your device.
  • Correction: You can edit all your data directly within the App.
  • Deletion: When you delete the App, all your data is permanently removed. You can also reset your account from the in-app settings.
  • Portability: Since your data resides on your device, you can transfer it using device backup mechanisms (iCloud, Google Drive backup).

👶 Children's Privacy

BudgetPlan is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from users under 13. Since the App does not require account creation and all data is stored locally, no age verification is performed; however, we recommend that parents supervise their children's device usage.

📝 Policy Changes

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. When significant changes are made, a notification will be provided within the App. You can always access the most current version of the policy on this page.
