SecureBrowser ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our iOS application.
In short: We do not collect your browsing history. We do not sell your data. Ad blocking and tracker protection happen entirely on your device.
1. Information We Collect
Information We Do NOT Collect
- Browsing history, URLs visited, or page content
- Personal identification information (name, email, address)
- IP addresses or precise location data
- Search queries or bookmarks
Anonymous Usage Analytics
We use Firebase Analytics to collect limited, anonymous usage data. This helps us understand active user counts and improve the subscription experience. This data includes:
- Active user metrics (daily, weekly, monthly user counts)
- Subscription-related interactions (e.g., paywall views, plan selections)
- Device type and OS version (for compatibility)
We do not track browsing behavior, feature usage, or any in-app activity beyond the subscription flow. This data is anonymous and cannot be used to identify you personally. Firebase Analytics is operated by Google and is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
2. How We Use Information
The anonymous analytics data we collect is used exclusively to:
- Monitor active user counts
- Improve the subscription and onboarding experience
- Guide future development priorities
We do not use any collected data for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties.
3. Data Storage
All browsing data — including your bookmarks, tabs, browsing history, and settings — is stored locally on your device. This data is never transmitted to our servers or any third party.
Your browsing data stays on your device. If you uninstall the app or clear browsing data, all local data is permanently deleted.
4. Ad Blocking & Tracker Protection
SecureBrowser uses built-in content blocking to filter ads, trackers, and popups. It's important to understand:
- On-device only: All ad blocking and tracker protection happens locally on your iPhone.
- No external servers: Blocked content is filtered before it loads — nothing is routed through our servers.
- No data leaves your device: We cannot see, log, or access your browsing activity or blocked content.
The blocking rules are bundled with the app and applied locally. Your whitelist preferences are stored only on your device.
5. Third-Party Services
Firebase Analytics (Google)
We use Firebase Analytics solely for active user counts and subscription funnel metrics. No personally identifiable information is shared with Firebase. No browsing activity, feature usage, or search data is tracked. You can learn more about how Google handles data at Google's Privacy Policy.
Apple StoreKit
Subscriptions and payments are processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We do not receive, store, or have access to your payment information (credit card numbers, billing address, etc.). All payment data is handled according to Apple's Privacy Policy.
6. Children's Privacy
SecureBrowser is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since we do not collect personal information from any users, this applies universally.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
Continued use of SecureBrowser after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
