Who We Are
Photo Editor AI is an iOS application that provides AI-powered photo editing tools. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information in connection with your use of the app.
By downloading and using Photo Editor AI, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
What Data We Collect
We collect very limited, anonymous information to understand how the app is used and to improve it over time.

How We Use Your Data
The anonymous analytics data we collect is used exclusively for:
- Understanding which features are popular so we can improve and expand them
- Identifying crashes and bugs to release fixes quickly
- Measuring whether new features are being discovered and used
- Making decisions about which iOS versions to support
We do not use this data for advertising, profiling, selling to third parties, or any purpose beyond improving the app itself.
What We Never Collect
To be explicit — the following are never collected, accessed, or transmitted:
- Your photos, images, or any image content
- Results of AI processing (background-removed images, reshaped photos, etc.)
- Your name, email address, phone number, or Apple ID
- Your precise or approximate location
- Contacts, calendar, health, or any other sensitive iOS data
- Browsing history or cross-app tracking data
- Microphone or camera content
- Keystrokes or clipboard contents
On-Device Processing
Every AI feature in Photo Editor AI runs entirely on your iPhone. This includes:
- Background Removal — uses Apple's Vision framework (VNGeneratePersonSegmentationRequest) on-device
- Object Removal — processed locally using Core ML inference
- AI Enhance — runs on the Neural Engine with no network calls
- Portrait Blur — person segmentation via VNGeneratePersonSegmentationRequest, fully local
- Reshape & Slim — custom Swift warp engine running on-device, no pose data is transmitted
- Teeth Whitening — face landmark detection via VNDetectFaceLandmarksRequest, processed locally
- Apple Intelligence — if you use the AI suggestion feature, prompts are processed by Apple's on-device models (subject to Apple's own privacy policy)
The app operates completely offline. You can use all editing features in airplane mode. An internet connection is only needed for the optional Apple Intelligence suggestion feature and for validating your premium subscription through Apple's StoreKit.
Third-Party Services
We use a small number of third-party services. Here is what each one does:

Firebase Analytics is configured with IP anonymization enabled and Advertising ID collection disabled. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy.

Data Retention
Analytics data is retained by Firebase according to Google's standard retention policy (up to 14 months by default). This data is anonymous and cannot be linked back to you.
Local app data (edited images, project history) is stored only on your device. You can delete it at any time by deleting the app. We have no access to this data and cannot recover it if you delete it.
Temporary files created during editing (intermediate warp results, filter previews) are stored in your device's temp directory and are automatically cleaned after 24 hours or when you delete the app.
Your Rights
Because we collect only anonymous, non-personal data, most traditional data rights (access, correction, portability) do not apply in the usual sense — we have no data that identifies you.
You have the following controls:
- Opt out of analytics: You can disable analytics tracking entirely in the app's Settings screen. Once disabled, no usage events are sent.
- Delete all local data: Delete the app from your iPhone to remove all locally stored projects, settings, and temporary files.
- Revoke photo access: You can revoke the app's photo library permission at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos.
- Limit Ad Tracking: The app does not use advertising identifiers. Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt is not shown because we do not track you across apps.
If you are in the EU/EEA, you have rights under the GDPR, including the right to request access to and deletion of your data. Since all analytics data is anonymous and cannot be linked to you, there is no personally identifiable data to provide or delete. If you have questions, please contact us.
Children's Privacy
Photo Editor AI is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has used the app and provided personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any significant changes will be communicated through an in-app notice or an update to the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
We will never change this policy to allow collection of your photos or personally identifying data without your explicit, informed consent.
