2. Information We Collect

PhotoClean is designed with a privacy-first approach. We minimize data collection as much as possible:

• We do not require you to create an account.
• We do not collect your name, email address, or any personal information.
• We do not store your personal data on our servers.

3. Photo Library Access

PhotoClean requests access to your photo library to scan and analyze your photos. Here's how we handle that access:

• Read-only scanning: We scan your photo library locally on your device to identify duplicates, screenshots, and other categories.
• Deletion via iOS: When you choose to delete photos, PhotoClean uses the standard iOS system dialog. Photos are moved to the "Recently Deleted" album where they can be recovered for 30 days.
• Photos are never uploaded: Your photos never leave your device. We do not upload, transmit, or store your photos on any external server.

4. Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics (provided by Google) to collect basic, anonymized usage statistics. This helps us understand how people use the app so we can improve it.

Analytics data may include:

• App opens and session duration
• Feature usage (e.g., which cleanup tools are used most)
• Device type and OS version
• Crash reports

This data is aggregated and anonymous. We do not collect personally identifiable information (PII) through analytics.

5. On-Device Processing

All AI and machine learning processing in PhotoClean runs entirely on your device.

• Photo analysis (detecting blurry photos, duplicates, screenshots, etc.) is performed using on-device models.
• No images or analysis results are sent to any cloud service.
• No internet connection is required for core scanning and analysis features.

6. Subscriptions

PhotoClean offers optional subscription plans to unlock premium features. All subscriptions are managed entirely through Apple's App Store.

• Payment processing is handled by Apple. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment information.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your iPhone's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
• Subscription terms and pricing are displayed in the app and on the App Store.

7. Data Retention

PhotoClean stores minimal data locally on your device:

• Thumbnail cache: Small thumbnail images are cached locally to speed up the review experience.
• Scan results: Analysis results are stored locally to avoid re-scanning your library unnecessarily.

All locally stored data is automatically removed when you delete the PhotoClean app from your device. No data persists on any external server.

8. Children's Privacy

PhotoClean is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such information.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will:

• Update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page.
• Notify users through an in-app notice when applicable.
