Paste Keyboard ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your information.

1. Data We Collect

Analytics Events (Firebase Analytics)

We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregated usage data to improve the app experience. This includes:

• Screen views (e.g., which screens are opened)
• Purchase events (e.g., when a subscription is started or restored)
• Snippet count events (e.g., how many snippets a user has created — never the content)
• App launch and session duration

These events contain no personally identifiable information and cannot be traced back to individual users.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• Keyboard input: We never record, monitor, or transmit anything you type using Paste Keyboard.
• Snippet content: The text you save as snippets is stored only on your device. We never access, read, or upload it.
• Personal information: We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal data.
• Contacts, photos, or location: The app does not request or access any of these.

2. Data Stored on Your Device

The following data is stored locally on your device (in the app's shared container) and is never transmitted to any server:

• Snippets and their content
• Folders and organization data
• App settings and preferences
• Premium/purchase status

This data stays entirely on your device and is accessible only to the Paste Keyboard app and its keyboard extension.

3. Full Access Explanation

iOS requires third-party keyboards to request "Full Access" to enable certain features. Paste Keyboard uses Full Access solely to allow the keyboard extension to read your saved snippets from the app's shared data container. This is a technical requirement by Apple — without Full Access, the keyboard extension cannot access the shared container where your snippets are stored.

Full Access does NOT mean we can see what you type. We do not use this permission to monitor, record, or send any keystrokes or typed content.

4. Third-Party Services

• Firebase Analytics (Google): Used for anonymous usage analytics. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• Apple In-App Purchases: Subscription and purchase processing is handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive or store payment information. See Apple's Privacy Policy.

5. Children's Privacy

Paste Keyboard is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since we do not collect personal information from any user, there is no special risk to children using the app.

6. Data Deletion

Since all your data is stored locally on your device, you can delete it at any time by:

• Deleting individual snippets or folders within the app
• Uninstalling the app, which removes all associated data from your device

Firebase Analytics data is aggregated and anonymous, so there is no personal data to request deletion of.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Terms of Use

By downloading, installing, or using Paste Keyboard ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use constitute a legal agreement between you and Paste Keyboard. By using the app, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms.

2. Description of Service

Paste Keyboard is an iOS application that provides a custom keyboard extension for saving and pasting text snippets. The app includes both free and premium features.

3. Subscriptions and Purchases

Premium Plans

Paste Keyboard offers the following premium options:

• Lifetime: A one-time purchase that unlocks all premium features permanently.
• Yearly: An auto-renewing annual subscription that unlocks all premium features.

Auto-Renewal

Yearly subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price.

Managing Subscriptions

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings (Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will retain access to premium features until then.

Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests must be submitted through Apple. We do not have the ability to process refunds directly.

4. User Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for the content you save as snippets within the app. You agree not to use the app for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.

5. Intellectual Property

All content, design, graphics, and code within Paste Keyboard are the intellectual property of Paste Keyboard and are protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the app without prior written consent.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Paste Keyboard shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of the app.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the modified terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles.
