Overview
Offline Music Player is an iOS application that allows users to import, manage, and play audio files stored on their personal device. The app operates entirely offline and locally. No user data is transmitted to any external server, cloud service, or third party under any circumstances.
This Privacy Policy explains what data exists within the app, where it is stored, and how it is used — all of which is entirely local to your iPhone or iPad.
Information We Collect
Offline Music Player stores the following information locally on your device only, solely to provide the app's core functionality:
-
✓Music library metadata — Song titles, artist names, album names, genres, file paths, artwork, duration, and file size. This data is read from your audio files or entered by you and stored in a local database on your device.
-
✓Playlist data — Playlist names and the list of songs in each playlist, created and managed by you.
-
✓App preferences — Settings such as equalizer configuration, selected presets, sleep timer preferences, display options, and playback settings.
-
✓Playback statistics — Play counts and favorites, used to power smart playlists (Most Played, Favorites). Never transmitted or synced.
-
★Purchase entitlement status — Whether you have an active premium subscription or lifetime purchase. This is verified directly through Apple StoreKit 2 on your device. We store only a local flag indicating premium access.
Information We Do Not Collect
We want to be explicit about what we do not collect, track, or process in any form:
- ✓Name, email address, phone number, or any personal identifier
- ✓Location data (GPS coordinates or IP-based location)
- ✓Device identifiers (IDFA, IDFV, or any advertising identifier)
- ✓Usage analytics, session data, or behavioral tracking
- ✓Crash logs or diagnostic data sent to our servers (the app has no servers)
- ✓Contact list, photos, camera, or microphone data
- ✓Browsing history or cross-app tracking data
- ✓Financial or payment information (all payments handled entirely by Apple)
- ✓The actual audio content of your music files
Local Data Storage
All data generated by your use of Offline Music Player is stored in the app's sandboxed storage on your device. This storage is:
- ✓Inaccessible to other apps on your device
- ✓Never synced to iCloud (unless you have enabled iCloud backups for all apps, which is controlled by iOS, not by us)
- ✓Automatically deleted when you uninstall the app
- ✓Never transmitted to any external server or cloud service
If you back up your iPhone via iCloud or iTunes, the app's local data may be included in that system-level backup. This is managed by Apple and iOS, not by Offline Music Player.
File & Media Access
To import music files, the app may request access to the following iOS capabilities:
-
📁Files app access — To allow you to select audio files from the iOS Files app, including iCloud Drive or connected storage. Access is granted only when you initiate an import action. The app uses security-scoped URLs and accesses only files you explicitly select.
-
📤Share Sheet (iOS Share Extension) — To receive audio files shared from other apps. This is user-initiated only.
-
📡AirDrop — To receive audio files dropped from another Apple device. Standard iOS AirDrop functionality applies.
Imported audio files are copied into the app's sandboxed container and played locally. We read audio metadata (title, artist, album, artwork embedded in the file) to build your library. We do not process, upload, or share the audio content in any way.
In-App Purchases & Subscriptions
Offline Music Player offers optional premium features via in-app purchases and subscriptions:
- ★Monthly subscription — offline_music_monthly
- ★Yearly subscription — offline_music_yearly
- ★Lifetime purchase — offline_music_lifetime
To verify your purchase entitlement, the app uses StoreKit 2's on-device transaction verification API. This verification happens entirely on your device through Apple's signed transaction receipts. No purchase data is sent to our servers (we have no servers).
To restore purchases on a new device, tap "Restore Purchase" in Settings. This triggers Apple's standard purchase restoration flow via StoreKit 2.
Third-Party Services
Offline Music Player integrates with the following Apple platform frameworks only:
- ✓AVFoundation / AVAudioEngine — Apple's audio playback framework. Used entirely on-device for audio processing and equalizer functionality.
- ✓MediaPlayer framework — Used to display Now Playing information on the Lock Screen and to support remote controls (AirPods, Bluetooth, CarPlay). No data leaves the device.
- ✓StoreKit 2 — Apple's in-app purchase framework. Used for purchase processing and entitlement verification. Governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
- ✓UIKit / Swift standard library — Core iOS system frameworks.
The app is a self-contained iOS application. It makes no network requests except when Apple's StoreKit framework communicates with Apple's servers during purchase or restoration — which is outside our control and governed by Apple's policies.
Children's Privacy
Offline Music Player does not collect any personal information from users of any age, including children under 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). The app has no features that involve user accounts, user-generated public content, social features, or communication capabilities.
Since no personal data is collected from any user, the app inherently complies with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) and similar regulations worldwide.
Your Rights & Data Deletion
Because all data is stored locally on your device and we collect no personal data, you have complete control over all data associated with your use of the app:
- ✓Access: All your data is in the app itself — your library, playlists, and settings are visible and manageable directly within the app.
- ✓Deletion: Uninstalling the app from your device permanently deletes all locally stored data. There is no data stored on any external server to delete.
- ✓Portability: Your music files are your own files, stored on your device. They are not locked to the app.
- ✓GDPR / CCPA: Since we do not process personal data, formal data subject requests under GDPR, CCPA, or similar regulations are inherently fulfilled by the app's design.
For purchase-related data held by Apple (your App Store account and transaction history), please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy and use Apple's tools at privacy.apple.com.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes that affect your privacy, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. Since the app collects no personal data and has no user accounts, we have no means to notify individual users of changes directly.
We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the app following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
We commit that any future version of Offline Music Player will maintain the same core privacy principles: no personal data collection, no accounts, no internet requirements for core functionality.
